Carrie Miller practices international trade law, advising multinational companies on regulatory compliance matters relating to U.S. export controls and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions programs. She counsels clients in a range of industries regarding export control obligations arising under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR), as well as implications of trade remedies implemented under the Trade Act of 1974 and Trade Expansion Act of 1962. She has experience supporting clients with compliance audits, internal investigations and disclosure submissions. Ms. Miller also has experience with reporting requirements under the jurisdiction of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and registration and reporting requirements under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).
Before joining BCLP, Ms. Miller spent time at various D.C.-based law firms and media companies researching regulatory compliance and other legal issues.
She graduated from William & Mary Law School, where she was Managing Editor of the William & Mary Law Review. Prior to law school, Ms. Miller served as an investigator with the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia.
